Partner Members

SILKWAY has a total of 9 partners from 9 cities (Bukhara, Cádiz, Jalal-Abad, Osh, Puerto Real, Rome, Santa Marinella, Tashkent, Urgench) and 4 countries (Spain, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan), including the public sector (7 universities) and the private sector (2 private companies).

The University of Cádiz (Spain) is the project coordinator and has a dedicated center for collaboration with Central Asia, the International University Center for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (CUNEAC). One of the two private partners, SincroWatt6 —a company specializing in electrical installations—is also Spanish.

Italy is represented by Sapienza University of Rome and Studio Santi (Santa Marinella, province of Rome), a private engineering and energy management consulting firm.

Kyrgyzstan contributes two partners: Osh State University—the first Central Asian partner with which the University of Cádiz began preparing this project in 2023—and Jalal-Abad State University.

Uzbekistan is the country with the most partners, totaling three: Bukhara State University, Tashkent State Technical University, and Urgench State University.

In addition, each partner has an extensive network of institutions, educational centers, and companies that have a special interest in this project and collaborate and participate in the various SILKWAY activities.
